Holme Deene, Main Street, Sheldon, an early 19th century building. 'Holme Deene, Sheldon. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. The farmstead is of a dispersed plan arranged as a cluster of buildings. The site is located within or in association to a village. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings.' (1-4) From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 16 NE PARISH OF SHELDON MAIN STREET 6/164 (South Side) Holme Deene II Pair of cottages, now one house. Early C19. Rendered stone, painted stone dressings. Slate roof. Stone coped gables with moulded kneelers. Twin octagonal ashlar gable end stacks. Two flush stone doorcases with C20 glazed doors to centre. To either side of doors, 2-light flush mullion windows with Gothic tracery metal casements. Above, two similar windows. Listing NGR: SK1758168734.' (5)
