Full Description

SK: 1695 7399: Litton Frith, Field System: Series of low terraces and lynchets on the west side of Cressbrook Dale, overlooking Litton Frith. Possibly Celtic fields. (1). Litton Frith. Surface features include lynchets, terraces and rectilinear enclosures. The dating is based on its location with Litton Medieval open field which it is most likely part of. There is a possibility that the enclosures are pre-medieval fields incorporated into the open field. (2).
