Lydgate Farm farmhouse, Eccles Road, Chapel en le Frith, a 17th century building.
'Lidgate Farm/Lydgate Farm, Chapel-en-le-Frith. Partially extant 17th century farmstead. The farmstead is formed of a loose courtyard with two sides of the yard formed of agricultural buildings and additional detached elements to the main plan. The farmhouse is detached with side on to the yard. The site is in an isolated location. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings.' (1-4)

'SK 08 SW TOWN OF CHAPEL-EN-LE-FRITH ECCLES ROAD 3/18 (South Side) Lidgate Farmhouse II
Farmhouse; C17, considerably altered in C19. Coursed gritstone with quoins. Slate roof. Stone gable end stacks. Two storeys, three bays. Central chamfered, quoined doorcase with massive lintel. C20 plank door. To west, 3-light recessed and chamfered mullion window with C20 casements. To east, C20 window in C18 flush surround. Over door C20 window in recessed and chamfered opening, formerly 2-light. Above, to west, similar but larger opening with C20 window. To east, modern window in C18 flush surround as below.
