Full Description

Roman coins, one gold, found c.1820 at Castleton between the Castle and Peak Cavern. "After much heavy rain a quantity of earth and rubble gave way a little below the Keep; it fell down the rock over Peak Cavern". (1) The coins were found within this earth and rubble pile. (2,3)
