Full Description

A Bronze Age bronze looped socketed axe, found near Peak Castle, Castleton, in or before 1956, now in Derby Museum. It is 3" long with a side loop. (1,3) No further information could be obtained either in Castleton or Derby. (2) Point has been plotted near to Peveril Castle, although it is unclear if this is the approximate location of the findspot. (4)
