Full Description

Evidence for Post-medieval mining remains have been identified near Starksholmes, north-west of Upperwood, during the high-resolution Lidar survey carried out by Bluesky during the winter of 2015/2016. The survey was commissioned by Trent and Peak Archaeology on behalf of the DerwentWISE Project. (1) The potential features were identified as multiple ridges in an area of high density mining. (2)
