Full Description

Evidence for a medieval or Post-medieval pit or hollow has been identified north of Meadow Wood Farm during a high-resolution Lidar survey undertaken in the winter of 2015/2016 by Bluesky. The survey was commissioned by Trent and Peak Archaeology on behalf of the DerwentWISE Project. (1) The pit or hollow is located on the periphery of an area designated with ridge and furrow. If the pit or hollow are contemporary with this it may be dated to the medieval period. (2)
