Full Description
Evidence of mining activities, shafts and pits, and ridge and furrow, B5035, Wirksworth, of post medieval and possibly medieval date respectively.
Evidence for post medieval mine shafts and pits, in addition to earlier ridge and furrow at Longway Bank was identified via Lidar survey undertaken in the winter of 2015/2016 by Bluesky. The survey was commissioned by Trent and Peak Archaeology on behalf of DerwentWISE Project. (1)
