Full Description

Evidence for Post-medieval quarrying in Birch Wood has been identified during a high-resolution Lidar survey undertaken in the winter of 2015/2016 by Bluesky. The survey was commissioned by Trent and Peak Archaeology on behalf of DerwentWISE Project. (1) The quarrying remains have been identified beneath the tree canopy of Birch Wood with the application of LiDAR. (2)
