Full Description
Evidence for a Post-medieval pit or hollow in Leashaw Wood has been identified during a high-resolution Lidar survey undertaken in the winter of 2015/2016 by Bluesky. The survey was commissioned by Trent and Peak Archaeology on behalf of DerwentWISE Project. (1)
The pit or hollow is possibly associated with mining activities during the Post-medieval period.The pit or hollow remains have been identified beneath the tree canopy of Leashaw Wood with the application of LiDAR. (2)
