Full Description

A Cotton Operatives Route taken by Castleton girls, who walked 2 miles to Edale Mill via Hollins Cross. (1) There are a number of possible paths marked on the 1st edition OS map of c.1880 between Castleton and Edale Mill, although it is unclear if there is physical evidence of these tracks. (2)
