Full Description

Evidence for a pit or hollow in Crich Chase has been identified during a high-resolution Lidar survey undertaken in the winter of 2015/2016 by Bluesky. The survey was commissioned by Trent and Peak Archaeology on behalf of DerwentWISE Project. (1) The pit or hollow is possibly associated with mining activities during the Post-medieval period. The feature was identified through the tree canopy of Crich Chase through the application of Lidar. (2)
