Full Description

Ridge and furrow earthworks were identified at this location when a geophysical survey, focused on a possible moated site just to the north, in 2009. At the time, the field showed clear evidence of ridge and furrow cultivation, running north-northwest to south-southeast, and bounded at its northern extent by a perpendicular headland. This ridge or bank is approximately in line with the modern fence line of Bank House's garden. All of the earthworks are slightly sinuous in form, suggesting a possible medieval date. (1)
