Full Description

Excavations carried out in 2017 revealed a north-south aligned ditch that 'probably represents the establishment and setting out of burgage plots. In addition the ghost of a wooden beam represented by an angular, rectilinear, organic stain was observed to cross the site from north to south with a return to the east and was associated with, and respected by the remains of two wooden pegs.' The fill of the ditch contained one piece of 12th to 13th century pottery. (1)
