Full Description

A ditch, between 1.37m and 2m wide, and 0.36m to 0.48m deep, in places cut into limestone bedrock, was recorded in the southern part of the excavation area, which is just north-northwest of Pearson's Farm. The ditch was oriented broadly east - west, but in the southwest part of the excavation area it turned and formed a right angle corner. It contained a single fill, with poorly preserved animal bone and one sherd of tentatively considered to be of 16th or 17th century date. (1)
