From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK36NE 1264-0/6/150 WINGERWORTH, LONGEDGE LANE (South side (off)), Pair of gatepiers and linking wall to the west of Estate House and the Cedars (remaining south wing of Wingerworth Hall) (Formerly listed as Pair of Gatepiers and linking wall approx.10 metres NW of The Yews,The Hollies) GV II Pair of gatepiers and connecting wall. Early or mid C18. Gatepiers of gritstone ashlar with chamfered rustication, in alternating shallow and deep courses. Square plan, with moulded cornices. Linking them is a wall of squared coursed rubble with a triangular coping. Near the centre it incorporates a stone carved with a heraldic crest. Listing NGR: SK3835367369.' (1)
