Steps, gates and railings of St James' Church, Annwell Lane, Smisby, mid 19th century structures. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 31 NW; 6/68 PARISH OF SMISBY, ANNWELL LANE (north Side), Steps, Gates and Railings to South-East of St James' Church GV II Steps, gates and railings forming entrance and screen at the south east corner of the graveyard to Smisby parish church. Mid C19. Coursed squared sandstone and ashlar, wrought iron. Broad flight of five stone steps up to paired gates with arch supporting lamp bracket above, and a single gate to right. Gableted iron gate piers. Low coped wall on either side, terminated by gableted polygonal end piers. Plain spike railings between. Listed for group value only. Listing NGR: SK3483219112.' (1)
