Full Description

SK 125 835: Mam Tor, Settlement: Suggested settlement site between the south-west side of Mam Tor hillfort and the Edale Road. The hillocks and "traces of grassed over walls" are in a field called Hill Pasture. It is suggested that there are buildings of various shapes and sizes, one circular, 8m (24ft) diameter, with a door to the south, and one rectangular building. The whole is enclosed by a wall triangular in plan. (1)
