Full Description

During a watching brief carried out in 2008, '…a layer of sandstone blocks measuring c0.65m in length by 0.1m in height, by 0.35m in width were revealed at a depth of 0.4m. Upon removal of one block, two vertical walls were revealed indicating that this feature was a culvert.' The culvert was shown as an area of pipe or drain on Campbell's 1858 plan. (1)
