Full Description

During a watching brief carried out in 2010 in the courtyard of Bakewell Town Hall, three possible wall foundations and a culvert were uncovered. Pottery dating to between the 13th and 16th century were found in deposits pre-dating the remains of these buildings, and they were clearly demolished before the construction of the Town Hall in the 1880s.
