Croft House (The Grange), A5132, Barrow upon Trent, a late 18th century farmhouse. From the National Heritage List for England: 'PARISH OF BARROW-UPON-TRENT TWYFORD ROAD SK 32 NW 3/10 (North Side) The Grange II Farmhouse. Late C18. Red brick. Hipped concrete tile roof with three lateral brick stacks. Three storeys. South elevation of three bays. Central moulded painted doorcase with C20 panelled door and rectangular overlight. Flanked by glazing bar sashes under painted keyed wedge lintels. The first floor has a central glazing bar sash with moulded architrave, flanked by glazing bar sashes under keyed wedge stone lintels. Three similar but smaller windows above again. The west elevation has a Venetian window to the ground floor. Former outbuildings converted to a dwelling in the C20, attached to the east and not of special interest. The interior has a boxed-in stick baluster staircase. Listing NGR: SK3490028626.' (1)
