Full Description

Lead Mine Shafts, Mount Cook Activity Centre, High Peak Trail, Wirksworth, possibly of post medieval date. Lead mine shafts were located on the western side of Mount Cook Activity Centre, an area previously fenced off. The area was overgrown but three shafts encircled with waste hillocks were identified in the vicinity of sunken features. (1)
