Full Description

Apple Store, St George's House Museum, High Street, Ilkeston, a mid 18th century building. The subterranean building was assessed and photographed during a survey carried out in 2016. '…the present Apple Store structure draws its significance largely though its historical value. This significance is related to the original construction which appears to be contemporary with the former Dalby House erected in the mid 18th century. The architectural role as part of the terraced garden retaining wall is also significant as indicated by cartographic records.' (1)
