Full Description

19th to 20th century pottery and finds, west of Park Road, Swadlincote. An assemblage of c880 fragments of 19th and 20th century pottery (not described), c110 fragments of glass, and 8 clay tobacco pipe fragments, in addition to smaller amounts of fired clay, slag, metal and shell, were recovered during a fieldwalking survey. It was noted that the distribution was concentrated on the eastern end of the field, where allotment gardens were situated during the 20th century. (1)
