Full Description

Culvert, west of Calke Abbey, Calke, of post medieval date. During a watching brief carried out over groundworks associated with the laying of a footpath just west of Calke Abbey, at its southern end: '…the removal of the stone flag from the culvert exposed an inspection hole into the culvert and a transfer reservoir from the drainage channel which abutted the courtyard.' No finds were reported. (1)
