The 1st ed. 25" Ordnance urvey map of c. 1880 has the annotation 'Coin found' next to a cross in Slack Lane and just over 20m from the western end of the Methodist Chapel. (1) The 2nd edition shows the site as 'Roman Coin found'. (2) No further information. (3)
