Full Description

Post medieval middens and features, rear of No. 2 Lander Lane, Belper. Trial trenching carried out in 2019 revealed a cluster of post medieval rubbish pits and modern garden features. No evidence of an associated building was observed. No evidence of a nail workshop was found despite the nearby presence of one on the Tithe map. (1) The remains of a building dating to c1900 were also recorded, in the form of the remains of an internal brick wall and brick floor surface. (1)
