Full Description

Former site of a lime kiln, northwest of Vincent House, Hartington Middle Quarter, likely of post medieval date. The 1st edition 25" OS map of c1880 shows this location labelled as 'Old Lime Kiln,' and 'Old Quarry,' just to the south. Current Google imagery (Google Earth) shows what are assumed to be the remains of the lime kiln as a roughly circular mound, surrounded by quarried land that appears to have been levelled off at some point in the recent past.
