The Market Pub, Nos. 93-95 New Square, Market Place, Chesterfield, a late 18th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'NEW SQUARE 1. 5169 (North Side) No 93 and No 95 (The Market Hotel) SK 3871 S 1/78 9.8.76. II GV 2. Late C18/early C19. 1 block. Red brick with stone plinth (facade of No 95 painted and plinth rendered). Moulded wooden eaves cornice with slate roof. 3 storeys. No 93, has 1 window, sashes with stuccoed lintels and vertical glazing bars only. Bow windowed reproduction office front ground floor. No 95 has 2 windows with engraved lintels, 2nd floor with casements, 1st floor with sashes, all with glazing bars. Ground floor has added reproduction bow windows in red brick and wooden surround.
