No. 1 Sheffield Road, Chesterfield, an 18th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SHEFFIELD ROAD 1. 5169 (East Side) -------------- No 1 (Formerly listed as Registered Offices of S Swale and Sons) SK 3871 SW 1/25 9.8.76. II GV 2. C18. Red brick with stuccoed quoins and band above plinth and above ground and 1st floors. C19 bracketed eaves. Slate roof, shallow pitch. 2 storeys (building apparently reduced to this height in C19). 5 windows, sashes with boxed frames, stuccoed keystones and glazing bars. Gauged flat window arches. Centre door with moulded stucco architrave with cornice. Modern doors with fanlights. Listing NGR: SK3835171490.' (1)
