Dovecote to east of former Alfreton Hall stable block, Church Street, Alfreton, an early 19th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 40 55 NE ALFRETON CHURCH STREET (north side) 8/8 Pigeoncote to east of former stable block to Alfreton Hall GV II Pigeoncote. Early C19. Red brick with brick dressings, pyramidal graduated slate roof with lead flashings and ball finial over dentilled eaves band. Two storeys, single bay, square in plan. Plinth. West and east sides have tall segmental arches, that to west now blocked. Rounded headed openings above to west and south sides. Interior with brick pigeon holes lining the whole of the first floor. Additions to north and west not included in the listing. Listing NGR: SK4074055808.' (1)
