Full Description

Whittington Hall Hospital, off Woodmere Drive, Chesterfield, an early 19th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'HIGH STREET 1. 5169 (North West Side) Whittington Whittington Hall Hospital (Formerly Whittington Hall) SK 3975 7/190 II GV 2. Earlier C19. Ashlar with eaves cornice and blocking course. Hipped slate roof. South-west facade of 2 storeys with stone bands above ground floor and at 1st floor sill. North-west end of facade advanced. 5 windows, centre 3 in 2 storey stone bay with blind panels between windows. To south-east 3 windows. Modern porch with large segmental hood ground floor. South-east facade has 4 windows, centre 2 advanced. All sash windows with glazing bars. Listing NGR: SK3918375661.' (1)
