Full Description
Possible D-shaped enclosure cropmark, northwest of Markeaton Crematorium, Markeaton Lane, Mackworth, of possible Iron Age or Roman date.
Current Google imagery (Google Earth c2020) shows a clearly visible cropmark that is similar in shape and size to known D-shaped enclosures of Iron Age or Roman date. About c10m north of that feature is a singular roundish feature less than 5m in diameter which may or may not be related.
The features were brought to the attention of the Derbyshire HER by a member of the public. (1)
