Full Description

SK 19.. 81..: Shatton Moor, Cairns (site of): Nothing now survives of this cairnfield which was located on a wide shelf near the northwestern tip of Abney Moor. The area was enclosed in 1850 and is now improved pastures. Bateman noted 'numerous barrows on Shatton Edge overlooking Castleton and Hope' (a) (1)
