Full Description

Plaistow Grange Farm farmhouse, Plaistow Green, Crich, an early 18th century or earlier building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 35 NW PARISH OF CRICH PLAISTOW GREEN 1/37 Plaistow Grange Farmhouse 15-3-82 II Farmhouse. Early C18, with a possibly earlier core. Coursed squared gritstone with quoins, coped gables with moulded kneelers, intermediate and north gable stack and a welsh slated roof. 'L' plan. East elevation. Two storeys, two bays, with stacked 2-light flush mullioned windows, with recessed panels to their bases. Lozenge shaped glazing to upper parts of window frames in some instances. Off-centre doorway with quoined surround, massive lintel and plain planked door arranged in two panels. Blocked window openings, seemingly C17 in north gable. Flush mullioned windows to north wall of rear wing. Listing NGR: SK3462256240.' (1)
