Full Description

Grange Cottage, Horsley Lane, Horsley, a mid-18th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'PARISH OF HORSLEY HORSLEY LANE SK 34 SE 4/32 (North Side) 7.2.80 Grange Cottage II House. Mid C18 with minor later alterations. Coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings, and steeply pitched plain tile roof with moulded stone copings, brick gable end stacks and a large central ridge brick stack, plus coved eaves band. Two storeys plus garrets and two bays. C20 plank door in flush quoined surround to east and two painted 2-light flush mullion windows to west. Above, two similar windows with C18 leaded panes to each eastern light and iron casements to western lights. Lower windows also have similar iron casements. West gable wall has C19 doorcase below and a 2-light flush mullion garret window. Interior has original fireplace and chamfered ceiling beams. Listing NGR: SK3748243720.' (1)
