Lock to Cromford Canal, near Railway, King William Street, Ironville, built 1792. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 45 SW IRONVILLE KING WILLIAM STREET (east side) 4/38 Lock to Cromford Canal at SK 440 517 GV II Canal lock. 1792, by William Jessop and Benjamin Outram. Coursed squared stone. Long stone basin with ashlar copings. Indents to either end for housing the gates, which are missing. One of a few remaining locks on the eastern end of the Cromford Canal. Listing NGR: SK4406851653.' (1)
