The Poplars, Casson Street, Ironville, built c1850. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 45 SW IRONVILLE CINDER BANK (north side) 4/36 The Poplars GV II House. c1850. Ashlar, C20 concrete tile roof with moulded stone copings to gables on gableted kneelers, plus external stone stacks with octagonal pots, also coved eaves band. Two bays and single storey plus attics. Central gabled porch has large moulded 4-centre arched doorcase with ½ glazed door and hoodmould. To either side there are 3-light timber mullioned windows with diamond leaded casements plus hoodmoulds, in slightly advanced full height bays. Above similar 2-light windows in gabled half dormers.
