The Orangery, Kedleston Park, Kedleston, built c1800. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 34 SW PARISH OF KEDLESTON KEDLESTON PARK 3/46 13.2.67 The Orangery GV II* Orangery. 1800-1 by George Richardson. Sandstone ashlar. Roof hidden behind blocking course. Moulded and dentilled cornice. Tall single storey. Five bay east elevation, each bay filled by a large glazing bar sash, the central one with three steps, acts as a doorway. The bays divided by fluted pilasters. At the corners, urn finials with swags. Apsed niche to rear, with a statue on a pedestal within. The south end has a doorway with moulded architrave and panelled double doors. Similar blind doorway to north. Inside there are plaster medallions on the walls. The orangery was moved to a slightly different position in the 1920s. Listing NGR: SK3102840255.' (1)
