Bridge over railway, Field Lane, Belper, built c1840.
From the National Heritage List for England:
'FIELD LANE 1. 5167 (North Side) Bridge over railway SK 3447 NE 1/106 II 2. 1840. Railway surveyed by George Stephenson. Some evidence bridges designed by Francis Thompson. Rusticated stone bridge with ashlar coping and quoins. Elliptical arch has voussoirs, impost bands and a band (above arch) which is carried on to cutting walls (qv 'General'). North parapet now replaced by metal guard.
