Full Description

Home Farm farmhouse, Lower Road, Mackworth, an early 18th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 33 NW PARISH OF MACKWORTH LOWER ROAD 6/82 (North Side) Home Farmhouse II Farmhouse. Early C18, doubled in size in mid-C19. Red brick with plain tile roofs with two brick ridge stacks and a lateral stack. Chamfered plinth and dentilled first and second floor brick bands. Two storeys and attics, double range plan. West range is early C18, east range is a C19 copy. Twin gabled south elevation of two bays. Central doorway with wooden doorcase. Panelled door with rectangular overlight, flanked on each side by 3-light casements under segment heads. Two similar 2-light windows above, either side of a similar but smaller blocked window A similar 2-light window in each of the gables, the right hand one blocked. Listing NGR: SK3111937954.' (1)
