From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 33 NW PARISH OF MACKWORTH ASHBOURNE ROAD 6/79 (South Side) Mile Post at OS 307 381 II Mile Post. Early C19. Cast iron. Triangular in plan with sloping upper part rising to back plate with curved top. Inscribed: LONDON/129 MILES/BUXTON 30 MILES/MACKWORTH/PARISH/ASHBOURNE/ 10 MILES/DERBY/3 MILES. Listing NGR: SK3066138038.' (1)
