Landscape record MDR23739 - Ridge and furrow, off Church Lane, Brailsford

Full Description

Ridge and furrow, off Church Lane, Brailsford, probably of medieval date. LiDAR imagery, surveyed in 2022 (available from National Libraries Scotland), shows a number of fields with surviving ridge and furrow earthworks along Church Lane. It is possible the area was more extensive prior to the construction of the post medieval buildings along the lane, and could have connected to another area of ridge and furrow (and other earthworks) to the east of the current Rectory building.
