Nos. 15-17 Golden Valley, Riddings, an early 19th century terrace. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 45 SW RIDDINGS GOLDEN VALLEY ROAD (south side) 4/51 Nos 15, 16 and 17 GV II Terrace of 6 cottages, now three. Early C19, restored c1980. Red brick with slate roofs, dentilled eaves and brick gable and ridge stacks. Two storeys, each cottage 2 bays. South elevation of each cottage has 2 central plank doors flanked by 2-light windows, with 2 similar windows above. All openings with cambered brick heads. Fenestration all small pane C20 casements. Part of a group of industrial workers housing built by the Butterley Company, facing on to the Cromford Canal. Source: Philip Rider 'The Butterley Company 1790-1830'. Listing NGR: SK4248451216.' (1)
