Champion Farm farmhouse, off Cumberhills Road, Windley, an early 19th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 34 SW PARISH OF WINDLEY CUMBERHILLS ROAD 3/113 (North Side) Champion Farmhouse II Farmhouse. Early C19. Red brick. Welsh slate hipped roofs, gabled to west. One brick ridge stack and one gable stack. Two storeys. Unusual plan of a tall rectangular range with segment curved wall to east, flanked by lower ranges to north and south, each with recessed centre part and slightly projecting wings. Three bay east elevation has tall and broad centre bay with bowed front. One 3-light casement window to each floor with returned brick hoodmoulds. Outer bays each have a blind window with round arched head set within a large recessed round arched panel. Three bay south elevation. Narrow recessed centre bay with a tall round-arched entrance to a recessed porch. Panelled door. Broad projecting bays on either side have a 3-light casement window to each floor, with returned hoodmoulds. Similar elevation to north. Listing NGR: SK3265842829.' (1)
