SK 1740 8214: Causeway Meadow, Medieval Road: Medieval roadway. (1) The road known as Doctor's Gate may have been an early (Roman or earlier) thoroughfare leading from the North through Bradwell and on in a southerly direction. However, it did not lead to the fort at Brough, but ran to the west of it, across fields once called Causeway Meadow in Bradwell and running south to where Hungry Lane continues the line towards Windmill.
