Full Description

Hollow Cottage (The Quarry), Derby Road, Stanton by Bridge, a late 18th century building. Previously Grade II Listed: 'SK 32 NE PARISH OF STANTON-BY-BRIDGE DERBY ROAD 3/225 (West Side) Hollow Cottage GV II Cottage. Late C18 with C19 alterations. Coursed rubble stone with flush quoins and stone dressings. Plain tile roof with stone coped gables on plain kneelers, central brick ridge stack and gable brick stack to west, plus stepped eaves band. Two storeys and two bays. Plank door below plain lintel to east and two 3-light small pane casements, also below plain lintels, set at slightly different levels to west. Above, two 2-light small pane casements. Rear elevation has lean-to with one plain sash and one horizontal sliding sash. Listing NGR: SK3723427435.'
