Garden seat to west of garden front at Shardlow Hall, off London Road, an early 19th century structure.

Garden Seat to west of Garden Front at Shardlow Hall GV II Garden seat.
Early C19. Ashlar and pebblework. Central depressed semi-circular headed niche with rusticated arch and jambs, ashlar back and pebble work dome, also with wooden bench to base on shaped legs. Above this is a Dutch gable in pebblework with moulded stone copings and a dentilled pediment. To either side there are blind depressed semi-circular headed, rusticated arches with ashlar backs and pebble work above in the spandrels, flanked by plain pilasters. Above, to each side, is a pierced parapet with piers to either end topped by ball finials. Included for group value only.
