Full Description

SK 1625 8215: Jack Bank, Roman Coins: Mr. W. Green of "Watergates", Pindale Road, Hope, ex Quarry manager states that approximately 40 years ago (c.1937) quarrymen found Roman coins at the Derbyshire Stone Ltd. Quarry (John Hadfield and Son, Sheffield, now Earles). This was kept quiet at the time. Mr. Green saw one coin of Constantine (bronze) and feels that there were more. (1)
