Pear Tree Cottage, Millstone Lane, South Wingfield, built c1740. From the National Heritage List for England: 'This list entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 24 January 2023 to amend a typo in the description and to reformat the text to current standards SK 35 SE 4/120 PARISH OF SOUTH WINGFIELD MILLSTONE LANE Pear Tree Cottage II House, formerly house and cottage. c1740. Coursed rubble coal measures sandstone with quoins, coped west gable, with moulded kneelers, plain gable to east. Intermediate and gable end brick stacks, and a concrete tiled roof. Two storeys, five bays, bays one, three and five with stacked three-light flush mullioned windows. To the east end, a pair of doorways with massive quoins and lintels, one doorway now blocked with a C20 casement window. To the west end, an inserted or remodelled doorway with a single light opening above with flush surround. Existing doorways with C20 stable doors. Listing NGR: SK3901354869.' (1)
